Robert Delaunay's - The Red Tower, Champ de Mars

I recreated Delaunay's painting using colored pencil on a 30 x 40 illustration board.  It is one of my favorite paintings of all time and I wanted to have it as a print in my home.  However, a print that size is quite expensive and instead I decided to recreate my own print.  As a bonus, I get to keep up on my fine arts technique.

Painting with a paintball gun is as fun as it sounds, however quite expensive.  Here are some of my recent paintball prints.

Oriental Latin Cuisine Poster Design

The idea for the poster was to show the fusion of both oriental and latin cuisine for a restaurant called "Casa de la Oriental".  All of the images in the poster were hand-drawn, excluding the typeface and some of the layout texture.

Compound Word Symbols

I created five symbols that represent a certain compound word.  With looking at the key, see if you can guess which compound word each one represents.  

From top to bottom: heartburn, hammerhead, gearhead, armchair, sleepwalk

Organic Typeface

It's wonderful how a grocery market provides very good studio lighting.  I created a typeface using various fruits and vegetables, obviously.  Probably won't do it again because the grocery guys' evil stares.

Color Theory Experiment

I tried to experiment with color using different fruits and vegetables to create analagous, monochromatic, and complementary photos.
